What is sophrology

Sophrology, what is it?

The word sophrology was created by its founder in 1960, Professor Alfonso Caycedo, neuro-psychiatrist and professor of psychiatry.

From Greek etymology, SOS (harmony) - PHREN (consciousness) - LOGOS (study), sophrology is literally the study of the harmony of consciousness.

The practice of sophrology aims to (r)establish or strengthen the harmony between our sensations, our emotions and our thoughts in order to develop our capacities.

Sophrology today

The practice of sophrology or the accompaniment by a professional sophrologist allows people to reinforce positive capacities and resources that exist in every human being.

Thus the sophrology of adapting to changes, to new living conditions,at work and outside of work.
